Farewell, 2013!

Farewell, 2013!

I must say our New Year’s Eve party was one for the record books.

We didn’t have the most guests at our party.

We didn’t have the most kinds of food (just our traditional sweet-and-sour meatballs over basmati rice).

We didn’t have the loudest music, biggest fireworks, or the most booze (any, actually!).

What we DID however, was play our first ever game of Settler’s of Catan (Geneva’s Christmas present).  It was the FUNNIEST evening, hands down, that I can remember having with my family. And that, my friends, is saying QUITE a bit.

We played for 4.5 hours, Geneva and I won the day (quite by surprise, I didn’t know we were so close!) and I wouldn’t have cared anyway because, win or lose, it was a blast!

Pix of da fun:

P.S. — Points to the first to guess what Laurent was building with her blue game pieces… 🙂
