accomplishment for the day was getting out of the house by 8am to do my major shopping, and making it back home by 10:15.\u00a0 Could NOT have done it without my two eldest daughters.<\/p>\n<p>I admit to going slightly berserk in the produce department&#8230; but that is a good kind of berserk, don&#8217;t you think?\u00a0 Supper tonight consisted of a pot of\u00a0 soup made by layering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>red garnet yam, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>zucchini, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>green onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>red bell peppers, cut in strips<\/li>\n<li>frozen green beans (these were the only vegetable that wasn&#8217;t fresh)<\/li>\n<li>garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>butter, a few pats<\/li>\n<li>forbidden rice (leftover from yesterday when I served it with curry)<\/li>\n<li>seasonings:\n<ul>\n<li>finely ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>a few shakes of Cavenders<\/li>\n<li>a few shakes of Old Bay<\/li>\n<li>spicy paprika<\/li>\n<li>smoked paprika<\/li>\n<li>Jamaican allspice<\/li>\n<li>ground nutmeg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>boiled in water<\/li>\n<li>add milk and a touch of flour for thickening<\/li>\n<li>served with optional chopped avocado and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Could have been even better with some additional greens, (and maybe some crumbled bacon) which I&#8217;ll keep in mind for next time.\u00a0 And
