Sometimes, we make it up on the fly at the Heidmann Institute of the Arts and Sciences<\/em>.\u00a0 Here is a sample of the sentences I gave Jacob for a handwriting assignment to go with his vocabulary words today.<\/p>\n

    \nYour green socks and orange underpants with purple and teal striped shirt have created a total image that borders on the absurd<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n
  2. atmosphere<\/strong><\/em>
    \nShe felt a tingle in her scalp as her hair, enlivened by the electrostatically charged atmosphere<\/strong><\/span><\/strong>, stood completely on end, causing her to appear strangely terrified, despite her actual amusement at her wild reflection in the laboratory window.<\/li>\n
  3. gossip<\/strong><\/em>
    \nAfter listening to a tale of wonder and intrigue involving fanciful claims of seeing a sorcerer in the town square conjuring butterflies from the water pump, and scones with jelly from the blacksmith’s forge, the king decided the ladies before him spent entirely too much time indulging in idle gossip<\/strong><\/span>, and sent them away to scrub the royal kitchen floor as their just recompense for acting like idiots.<\/li>\n
  4. indifference<\/strong><\/em>
    \nThe pleas for mercy that arose from the multitudes of farmers and peasants lining the roads as their cold-hearted queen passed by with her luxuriously appointed entourage were met with indifference<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> and scorn for their overtaxed and over-regulated existence.<\/li>\n
  5. passion<\/strong><\/em>
    \nWho could have predicted that the rules posted in the dormitory common room, forbidding the students to read after 8pm, would result in clandestine midnight escapades to the library by large underground societies of bibliophiles intent on satiating their passion<\/strong><\/span> for literature, whatever the cost!<\/li>\n
  6. prompt<\/strong><\/em>
    \nThe girl’s father, who was nothing if not prudent, and, wishing to instill in her date a deep and abiding sense of the propriety of returning his daughter in a prompt<\/strong><\/span> and timely manner at the close of the evening, sat upon the porch with his five sons, cleaning their guns, and as the couple departed, looked the young man in the eye and simply said, “See you at ten.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
