One of those little ways I get to help my sweetie
\nnow and then…
\nToday, that request proved more demanding than usual, however.
\nThe hood release on the suburban was stuck,
\nand I mean good-and-stuck.
\nIt took us a good ten minutes working together with me
\npulling on that hood lever,
\nand Paul trying to pry it loose up front,
\nbefore he finally got it open.<\/p>\n

And the conclusion to which he came
\nafter looking the mechanism over,
\nwas that it had to come out completely.<\/p>\n

Naturally my first question was,
\n“How are you going to keep the hood down?”<\/p>\n

Then I mused facetiously on the various low tech possibilities,
\nsuch as installing some kind of ring on the hood,
\nhooking on a bungee cord,
\nwith the other end hooked under the fender or something.<\/p>\n

I snorted, went inside, and left my creative and industrious husband to his work.<\/p>\n

I may have napped a little.<\/p>\n

I woke up to much clatter and the kids all telling me I had <\/em>to come out and see the
\nnew hood ornament!!!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
