Continuing my macro studies, I noticed how beautifully my Texas Sage bush has been blooming the last couple of days (thanks to my husband’s faithful watering) and took a wander with my walker out to the front yard to capture some blossoms. I found some Oleander flowers along the way as well. When I got to the sage bush, it was a riot of color, and absolutely buzzing with hundreds of bees! I had a dickens of a time capturing any of them though, because they were so very busy. These were not lazy bees. They were frantic! Still I managed to snap a few, so I’m happy. On my way back into the house I stopped to appreciate a few other images, just to remind myself that anything can be a good photo. (Not every photo IS a good photo, mind you, but the potential is there far more often than we think…)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, I should also mention I used my Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM | A<\/a>rt<\/a> for this outing – just to see what difference it might make. It’s a really good lens, but not suited for macro terribly well. So, lesson learned!
