Despite the marvelous provision that our State Farm Insurance has been throughout this fire recovery period, there have still been various projects for our new home that needed to wait until a check showed up before we could go shopping.\u00a0 I knew that the money was coming this week, and so I spent a good deal of time and gas running around looking at every furniture store on the west side to make absolutely sure I found what I wanted, and at the best price.\u00a0 It turned out that I finally found “the perfect” sofa-loveseat set, back where I started months ago, at the Big Tin Shed.\u00a0 Though it’s an extremely un-glamorous place to shop, you can definitely find a bargain or two!\u00a0 Since I’d scouted it out on Thursday evening right before closing time, I went in first thing Friday morning and paid for the set (getting the floor model because it’s being discontinued!), and let them know we would be in later to pick it up when Paul got off of work.<\/p>\n
During the afternoon, the kids had a visit from a theater friend, and they had a typically splendid time together, coloring hair with spray coloring, jamming to various “Ga-Ga” songs (just to bug me, I’m sure), letting Alyx try all the stringed instruments, and going to the park.<\/p>\n
