8 Be sober and vigilant.
\nYour opponent the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion
\nlooking for someone to devour.
\n9 Resist him, steadfast in faith,
\nknowing that your brothers and sisters throughout the world
\nundergo the same sufferings.
\n10 The God of all grace
\nwho called you to his eternal glory through Christ Jesus
\nwill himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you
