Islamic State militants in Libya recently beheaded\u00a021 Coptic Christians who had been kidnapped.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Christians\u2019\u00a0last words? \u201cYa Rabbi Yasou,\u201d or \u201cMy Lord Jesus.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

While the Islamic militants beheaded the Christians on video, the leader said<\/a>, \u201cAnd we will conquer Rome, by Allah\u2019s permission, the promise of our Prophet, peace be upon him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThey were killed simply for the fact they were Christians,\u201d Pope Francis said<\/a> of the violence. \u201cThe blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out to be heard.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes no difference whether they be Catholics, Orthodox, Copts or Protestants. They are Christians! Their blood is one and the same. Their blood confesses Christ.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

According to the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles<\/strong><\/a>, these are the names of the 21 Christians\u00a0in Libya\u00a0who were martyred by ISIS:<\/em><\/p>\n
