{"id":11032,"date":"2014-12-09T08:34:20","date_gmt":"2014-12-09T15:34:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nettiesworld.com\/?p=11032"},"modified":"2017-06-28T21:20:25","modified_gmt":"2017-06-29T04:20:25","slug":"thanksgiving-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.adoptedjoy.com\/?p=11032","title":{"rendered":"Thanksgiving 2014!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Life flies by so quickly during the holiday season, it&#8217;s hard to keep up. \u00a0Last week&#8217;s celebrations included Mom&#8217;s 75th birthday, a family thanksgiving, a Victorian Christmas Ball, and a quick trip to the ranch to celebrate thanksgiving with our neighbors there.<\/p>\n<p>It has been many years since we had such a small group in our home to celebrate Thanksgiving. Jon and Jessica and their family had a large gathering in the East Valley, and our other usual suspects had plans of their own as well, but we were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Heidmann join our eleven\u00a0for the day, bringing our happy number to 13.<\/p>\n<p>I loved the chance to relax with family around the table, and use my china (that&#8217;s difficult to do for a party when there are 30 people in the house). \u00a0I don&#8217;t even have any table\u00a0decorations for the season, but just using real tableware made the day feel elegant.<\/p>\n<p>Pics from the day (for captions,
