{"id":10153,"date":"2014-01-02T20:45:14","date_gmt":"2014-01-03T03:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nettiesworld.com\/?p=10153"},"modified":"2017-06-28T22:03:51","modified_gmt":"2017-06-29T05:03:51","slug":"farewell-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.adoptedjoy.com\/?p=10153","title":{"rendered":"Farewell, 2013!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I must say our New Year&#8217;s Eve party was one for the record books.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have the most guests at our party.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have the most kinds of food (just our traditional sweet-and-sour meatballs over basmati rice).<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have the loudest music, biggest fireworks, or the most booze (any, actually!).<\/p>\n<p>What we DID however, was play our first ever game of Settler&#8217;s of Catan (Geneva&#8217;s Christmas present). \u00a0It was the FUNNIEST evening, hands down, that I can remember having with my family. And that, my friends, is saying QUITE a bit.<\/p>\n<p>We played for 4.5 hours, Geneva and I won the day (quite by surprise, I didn&#8217;t know we were so close!) and I wouldn&#8217;t have cared
